Care Homes have been closed to all visitors since 23 March 2020. As we enter the recovery phase of the pandemic, the importance of facilitating visits to stimulate wellbeing is recognised. We need to maintain ‘infection free’ communities in our homes and so visitors will still not be permitted to access all areas. This will be effective from Monday 13th July 2020. Visits will only be facilitated in the following way
- Pre-booked with the home
- Visits will take place in the conservatory at the back of the building
- Visitors must enter and leave via a designated route.
- Visiting times are in hour slots 10.30am 11.30am 1.30pm 2.30pm 3.30pm 6.30pm & 7.30pm Monday to Sunday. We would ask that visitors keep to their booked time slot
- Temperature checks of visitors on arrival and completion of a ‘Visitors Checklist for each visit
- All visitors will be asked to confirm they are symptom free and well
- If there are concerns raised following completion of the ‘Visitors Checklist’ then the home has the right to cancel the visit
- Hand hygiene to be performed before and after the visit
- All visitors must wear a surgical face mask (provided by the Home)
- We would ask that the number of visitors is limited
- Social distancing in accordance with government guidelines should be adhered to
- We would not advise Physical contact
- If there is a breach of any of the above measures, the visitor will be asked to leave and future visits may not be possible
- If there is a second peak of Covid-19 in the local community or nationally that causes concern, and potentially puts the people living and working in the home at risk, the home will revert to closure to protect the care home community
To be reviewed on any change of government guidance.
